Why We Don't Recommend to Pyrolyze the Used Tires and Plastic Together?
The process flow and main equipment of tire and plastic pyrolysis are the same, so theoretically, it is possible to pyrolyze tires and plastics together by choosing a universal pyrolysis plant. But in actual operation, due to the different melting points, oil composition properties, and outputs of tires and plastics, we do not recommend that tires and plastics be refined together at the same time.
The first reason is tires and plastic have different melting points. And different melting points require different temperatures for cracking and pyrolyzing. The tire oil outlet temperature is higher while the plastic oil outlet temperature is relatively low.
The second reason is tire oil and plastic oil have different composition properties. Tire oil belongs to bio-renewable oil, plastic oil belongs to petrochemical oil, and plastic oil contains less sulfur than tire oil, so the oil is better and clearer. After mixing tires and plastics together in pyrolyzing, the oil composition is complicated, which is not conducive to selling or using.
In addition, due to the different proportions of the outputs, there are also special details designed for dealing with different problems.
In short, it is not recommended to mix tires and plastics together for pyrolyzing, but the pyrolysis plant can be made into a universal type, with different materials treated separately, making it versatile and cost-effective.
